Events Organized: The centre has taken a number of initiatives in terms of extra- and co-curricular activities for student communities. Seminars, conferences. Some of them are being reported as under:
1. As per the policy of the institute, we encouraged students to undertake short-term projects with well-known organizations such as Coca Cola, Marico Ltd, SMC Capitals, Mitsubishi Pencil Company, Tata Croma, Kamdhenu Ayurveda, Luxor Pens, Live India-Media House, Shri Adhikari Brothers, Subros Ltd., Commitment Securities and Credits Limited, Union Bank of India, Idea Cellular (Aditya Birla), Oberoi Cecil, WPP group (Advert. Company), Nuevora Business Analytics and Neilsons, etc. The students’ efforts were well appreciated and recognized by the industry.
2. Apart from rigorous academic assignments, students made BIMTECH proud at various national level and inter-college competitions:
- Amit Kumar Jha, Deepak Thomas Mathew and Ayush Palod of batch 2009-11 were the winners in IMT Passion - Annual Fest organized by ICICI Banking and brought great accolades.
- Priyanka Raina and Pallavi Jain of batch 2009-11 were awarded second prize in Poster Making organized by UPNEDA and BIMTECH.
- Amit jha, Deepak Thomas Mathew, Ravinder Pal Singh and Ayush Palod of PGDM 2009-11 bagged 2nd position at a National Level Case Study competition held at IITM-Gwalior.
- Mahendar Rathi of batch 2009-11 bagged 1st position at National level for TATVA - Summer Project Competition in Finance Vertical held in IMT Ghaziabad.
- Anurag Jain and Haresh L of PGDM 2009-11 bagged 4th position at National Level in AIMA QUIZ Competition for Northern region.
- Aekansh Jain and Vidyut Perti of PGDM 2009-11 bagged 1st prize at National level in Management cum Simulation Event - CHAKRAVYUH at IFMR, Chennai.
- Abhinav R Sharma of PGDM 2010-12 bagged 1st prize in inter college event PAARWAAZ Debate competition.
- Raghav, Nikhil Golhar, Nida Majeed, Kunal Dutta got 3rd prize for Best Marketing Team event in inter college competition ‘RAAS’ held at G D Goenka
- Kashika Miglani of PGDM 2010-12 got 1st prize for Best manager in inter- college event held at G D Goenka.
- Vighnesh Venugopal and Devdutt Bhatt got 1st prize for Counter strike Game in inter-college competition held at G D Goenka.
3. Students of PGDM have shown admirable interest in research oriented projects. Many of them presented research papers at various national level conferences, and published research papers on emerging issues in Social Science Research Networks (SSRN) an electronic database, and some students extensively wrote articles in leading newspapers. These activities greatly helped them in inculcating analytical insights and helped them to analyze current issues and problems with a clear mind. The Abstracts submitted by Vignesh R of PGDM 2009-11, on the topics "value at Risk - MATLAB Application of Copulas on US & Indian Markets" and "FDI & Rural market: Quantitative Analysis of the Telecom sector Infrastructure…The yesterday, Today & Tomorrow of Rural Telecom Infrastructure" have been selected for the International Conference on challenges for inclusive growth at IIM-A.
4. Niji Razdan & Pallavi Jain , student of PGDM-Batch 2009-2011, participated in the AIMA paper presentation. They submitted their paper on the theme” Managing organizational and Management Challenges in India”.
5. In the era of globalization and internationalization, business schools seek to meet the needs by providing an international learning experience. There is a wave of both collaboration and competition between business schools to be competitive. A good business school requires a quality assessment of the programmes offered. During the visit of Professor Jyoti Gupta of Department of Finance, ESCP-EAP, European School of Management, France, faculty members had one-to-one interaction to discuss important issues of AMBA accreditation.
6. PGDM Students of Batch 2009-11 of Operations Major went to Steel Foundry plant at Panipat in the Month of December 2010.
7. PGDM Students of Batch 2010-12 went to Bajaj Auto Plant, Thermax & Bharat Forge Ltd. at Pune in the Month of January 2011.
8. BIMTECH and RAI joined hands in their common endeavours to organize a full day seminar on “Managing Imminent Changes in Indirect Tax Laws (GST) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)” on 11th January, 2010.
9. A team of 10 student volunteers supported the National HRD Network’s 14th National conference, in which BIMTECH was a sponsor. The team comprised of Anindita Dhar, Bhavya Gogia, Gaurav Chandwani, Geetika Dham, Mansi Gandhi, Nupur Jain, Raunak Kejriwal, Uday Pratap Singh, Vidhushi Rana and Vighnesh Venugopal.
10. In order to bridge the industry academia gap, the institute regularly invites CEOs and others occupying Leadership positions from reputed companies. The idea is to give the students practical insights into the corporate world so that they become better managers of tomorrow. These sessions are conducted either in workshop mode or lecture mode followed by a question answer session.

- Mr. Deepak Bharara, Director, Corporate HR, Lanco Infratech limited, spoke on “Leadership Development through competency Based framework”.
- Mr. Aquil Busrai, Chief Advisor-HR, Jindal Steel and Power Limited, spoke on “Challenges in People Management and Engagement for the Gen-X-Managers”.
- Mr. Sam Ghosh, Group CEO, Reliance Capital, talked about “Issues and Challenges in Financial Markets”.
- Mr. V S Srinivasan, CEO, Bric Securities, discussed issues related to Career Planning.
- Mr. Alok Sheopurkar, Senior Vice President – HR, HDFC AMC, discussed the expectations of the industry from Management students.
- Dr. Rajesh Shukla, Chairperson, NCAER, Centre for Macro Consumer Research, discussed on the Topic "How India Earns, Spends & Saves”.
- Prof. D K Malhotra, Thomas J. Herzfeld Term Chair and Professor of Finance, Philadelphia University, School of Business, discussed about Derivatives & Risk Management.
- Mr. K M Prashanth & Mr. Sujit Varkey spoke on the topic "An Economic Discovery of India".
- Mr. G P Rao, Chief – HR and MS, Recron, Malaysia, shared his thoughts on Inclusive Work Culture.
- Mr. Deepak Ravindran, Managing Director & Chief Executive -innoz mobile, discussed on what an entrepreneur needs to understand before taking the fund, how to raise money, etc.

Recent Guest Lectures: (Month of July, 2011)
- Dr. C V Ramanan (B. Tech, DCE, MBA, UBS, Ph.D.) discussed the characteristics of a Total Quality Person.
- Mr. Jagannadham Thunuguntla, Equity Head, SMC Capitals Ltd. emphasized the importance of Emotional Quotient along with intelligence quotient to become a successful manager.
- Ms. Manosi Kothari, a Trained Mind Therapist, administered various interesting ICE BREAKING and Team Building games for PGDM Students, Batch 2011-2013.
- Mr. Srinivas Kesineni, CMD of Kesineni Group (Kesineni Travels) Hyderabad, discussed about the growth of his company.
Inter College Competition on “Central Budget-2011” (National level)
Owing to a consistently high level of inflation and a string of governance issues, Budget 2011 instigated high hopes and expectations among the public. With a view to encourage the student population to display their understanding and analysis of the union budget, CBM organizers an inter-college completion on “Impact of the central Budget-2011” on 16th March 2011. The top four write-ups and presentations were rewarded with deserving cash prizes. Rashi Agarwal of PGDM batch 2010-2012 announced as the winner of the First Prize.
