Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, conceptualized circa 2004 is being established in a formalized manner. This step forward is to follow the Vision of the institute which strives to encourage entrepreneurship. The centre aims to prepare men and women to lead, innovate, and think entrepreneurially in business, public and social service to be job creators and role models.

| To provide a platform to young minds to think, experiment and develop their ideas, inculcate the leadership and support to sustain the venture. |

| Aims and Objectives |
| (a) |
To act as an institutional mechanism for providing various services including information to budding entrepreneurs. |
| (b) |
To nurture entrepreneurship knowledge and to assist entrepreneurs in developing viable enterprises. |
| (c) |
To foster better linkages and networking amongst various Institutions and Industries for benefit of the business. |
| (d) |
To develop links with angel investors, venture capital funding agencies to support the centre. |
| (e) |
To create a venture capital fund for the viable ideas and projects. |

To develop a knowledge pool through research, seminars, symposiums, conferences etc for the benefit of the development in the entrepreneurship areas |

To offer capacity building programmes through consulting, training, development programmes etc. to organizations. |

Our vision for entrepreneurial success extends beyond individual achievement to organizational success and ultimately to our national economic development. Whether it is the individual entrepreneur, or an ‘intrapreneurial’ professional employee who provides the innovative ideas needed to grow an existing company, or someone in governmental leadership, it is the ability to envision a future, to be driven by a mission, to think innovatively about the mundane, and to move forward with self-confidence that our country needs to retain its greatness. |
