2 What’s wrong with a Uniform National Poverty Policy? This study is based on
the longitudinal survey which examines the dynamics of poverty on the ground that
the reasons that matter for the escape and descent not only differ from one another,
they differ considerably across and within states.
3 IFPRI’s Global Hunger Index (GHI): Improvements in concepts and method-This work addressed the methodological refinement through a scale-free smoothening procedure and the selected individual variables which are tilted towards children better captured the dimension of human deprivation in the case of hunger.
4 Policy Induced Employment Generation as a Social Safety Net: A case of
National Rural Employment Scheme of India- The analysis used the unit
level records from a sample survey of 3200 households to explore the socioeconomic
and community level factors that influence enrolment and utilization of NREGS.
5 Changes in India Rural Non-Farm Employment and Income Shares between
1995 and 2005- This work used the multinomial logit model in order to explore the
individual, household and community characteristics that are associated with the
probability of non-farm employment in rural-India.
6. Distributional Impact of Raising Food Prices and Strengthening Social
Safety Nets for mitigating adverse impacts for India and Pakistan, Asian Development Bank.
7. India Human Development Survey (IHDS) is a nationally representative, multitopic survey (Health Environment, Economic Development, Maternal and Child Health, Parental Education and Child Outcomes) of over 41,000 households across India. This survey examines changes in the nature and composition of Indian middle classes in the context of India’s movement from state-capitalism to market capitalism and increasing involvement in the global economy.
8. National Sample Survey (NSS)
Determinants of Post-Higher Secondary Enrolment in India, this study examined at
disaggregated level the relationship between economic status and enrolments in
post-higher secondary education in India.
Replicated the NSSO methodology with 61st (2004-05) and 50th (1993-94) round for
the calculation of daily per capita calorie, fat and protein intake. |
