Author(s) : Sugandha Sinha Abstract The study identifies the factors that directly or indirectly influence the demand for switchgears the world over. Clusters of nations across continents which can be considered for a sortie by an Indian manufacturer of switchgears have been identified. Assuming that the Indian market has been fully tapped by the manufacturers, the study focuses on markets outside India. To decide upon the countries that are the best investments avenues, the economic, political and structural strengths and weaknesses of nations have been considered. The recommendations made have been based upon factors like commercial viability of business, ease of operation in a particular nation etc. Exploratory research hints towards some relationship between the demand for switchgear and GDP, electricity production and per capita electricity consumption. The research tries to establish this relationship more firmly by using statistical analysis. The study has been conducted to provide a direction, to serve as a base document to carry out further research in the identified markets. Although the research was conducted keeping in mind switchgears (the basic function of which is to control the flow of electricity) it can be extended to make inferences about products which have a direct correlation with a country's GDP and per capita electricity consumption. ....................................................................................................................................... Paper Title : The Role Of Country Image In Product Appreciation Author(s) : gnes Horvath, Judith Hamori Abstract Due to globalization and cumulative liberalisation of trade, today's consumers can choose from a broad palette of products that are mainly imported products from different countries. However, in line with globalization it can be seen that there is another typical tendency which is differentiation, based on various criteria. The consumer demands differentiate on the side of demands, while on the side of supply the range of products offered is getting broader and colourful. The producers are looking for those tools which can distinguish their products, in the consumer's mind, in the tight race. When a consumer makes a decision during shopping, the origin of the products and their image are differential information. For the producers the positive image of a country can be an appropriate differential factor between products of different countries. ....................................................................................................................................... Paper Title : MICRO AND MACROECONOMIC DILEMMAS OF SUSTAINABILITY IN AGRICULTURAL ECONOMY Paper Title : The impact of urbanisation on the food economic environment in South-East Asia My paper tries to show, that the flow of the increased population from the country into the cities, is accompanied by an increased demand for food, and by a decrease in the food production. A change in the structure of demand plays a major role in this process of urbanisation. The altered eating habits are causing a decrease in the consumption of usual foodstuffs (millet, corn, tuberous vegetables), which are substituted by wheat, animal products, and highly processed foodstuffs. Furthermore, the above mentioned effects are reinforced by the increase of income, caused by the urbanisation and economic growth. The increase of income in the developing countries is expected to be featured by a higher food-flexibility too |
