  • Dr. Usta M. Amin is a Professor of Strategy at BIMTECH. His teaching and research areas include Strategic Management, Competitive Strategy, Corporate governance & sustainability, Marketing Management, Advanced Consumer Behaviour, Industrial Marketing, International Marketing, Creativity & Innovation and R&D Management.

    During his professional career spanning 41 years, he has been an effective academic administrator, teacher and scholar with rich managerial experience and proven capability in teaching, administration and institution building skills in the management education arena.Prior to joining BIMTECH, Dr Amin was Professor of Management Studies and Director of Centre for Management Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, a Central University.

    His professional experience also includes 31 years in sales & marketing, business development, key account management and projects in various sectors of Indian industry. The experience in industry has been in the areas of Strategy formulation & implementation, Project sales & marketing, business development, key account management and project management. He was involved in sales and marketing of capital goods including turn-key projects to sectors Indian industry such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemicals & Petroleum refinery, Man-made synthetic fibres, Edible oil, FMCG, Food, Atomic Energy and Fertilizer etc.

    Prof. Amin is an alumnus of BITS, Pilani, IIT, Delhi and FMS, University of Delhi.
    He has held several academic and administrative positions in Jamia and other universities and management institutions.
