Froosh, an initiative by Retailia under the Retail Management Program - Bimtech inaugurated it's newly revamped kiosk on 7th August, 2018. The small event was blessed upon by Dr. H. Chaturvedi, Director - BIMTECH, Prof. K. R. Chari, Dean - Student Welfare, Dr. Pooja Misra, Chairperson - Retail Management Program and other eminent faculties of BIMTECH.

Under the aegis of Retailia club, Froosh has established itself as an innovative entrepreneurial venture. It is commendable to see students successfully running the Frooosh kiosk operations vis-a-vis Inventory Management, stock keeping, logistics, pricing, marketing and cost budgeting.

We wish the members of Frooosh a successful year ahead and hope that this venture remains prosperous in the coming years.

 

Policy document for Froosh

Objective: FROOOSH is run with an objective to create a self-sustaining organisation which will also act as a lab for the students of Retail Management at BIMTECH to experiment their learnings and have hands on experience. The venture also gives the team real time experience in buying, operations, sales, etc. acting as an excellent platform for learning.

Description: Frooosh, the In-campus juice shop run by students of PGDM – Retail Management, team, managing end to end from marketing campaigns to daily operations. FROOOSH counter remains open from 5PM to 8PM and operates as an exclusive counter inside the BIMTECH café.

FROOOSH also maintains data about sales and analyses them to introduce new products and assist in buying supplies, trying to mimic the industry practices.

The venture was started by students with a pooled investment of Rs 25,000 and with support from BIMTECH in terms of providing space and other basic facilities. Today within a period of 4 months the venture has become self-sustainable and has achieved break-even.

FROOOSH runs at a margin of 15-20% and this is maintained by cost optimization, ensuring the fruits and other supplies are bought at right price with best bargains. The team also ensures innovation in products giving new alternatives, collecting feedback from customers and checking our relevance to target to the customers.

The team is also working to collaborate with more students to make it an open place for learning and help students test themselves. FROOOSH will be coming up with innovative campaigns in the coming weeks to increase the awareness on health benefits from fresh fruits and juices.

Froosh operations: The operations shall be managed by 1st year students of Retail Management and has to be transferred to the next batch after a year. The transition period for a month shall involve both the outgoing and the incoming team. During transfer the assets and stock shall be transferred on as is basis.

An initiative by PGDM-Retail

FROOOSH, the in campus Juice and Sandwich Shop run by students of PGDM – Retail Management of Batch 2016-18, by a strong team of 10 Members, managing end to end from marketing, Logistics, Inventory Management, Budgeting, Buying, Negotiation, Campaigns to daily operations. FROOOSH counter remains open from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. and operates as an exclusive counter inside the BIMTECH Cafeteria. FROOOSH is run with an objective to create a self – sustaining organisation which will also act as Lab for the students of Retail Management at BIMTECH to experiment their Learning’s and have Hands on experience.

Frooosh 2017-19

Frooosh is an initiative of retail management students of BIMTECH to offer mouth-watering delicacies. At frooosh we provide fresh juices, smoothies, shakes, pasta, sevpuri etc. all different kinds of snacks.

At frooosh there is a team of 11 members who works together to serve its customer with best services and to give value for their money. Through frooosh they are getting an exposure of real retail world as in frooosh there are many activities involved from procurement of raw material to preparing of food to selling and from pricing the products to marketing the food joint these all activities are student driven.

Different roles are assigned to each and every member for smooth functioning and proper coordination. Frooosh was just an initiative when it started but over a period of time frooosh itself have become a brand and now it’s an identity and a legacy carried forward by students of Retail Management.
