Visit to Paswara paper Mill

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” – Walt Disney
A Manufacturing Industry Visit not only gives students the opportunity to get an idea about the functioning of a plant but also helps them understand the ground realities of the running of such a huge business.

Paswara Papers Ltd. is a PASWARA GROUP Company based in India and engaged inthe manufacturing of Kraft Paper & Paper Board to cater to the Specialty Paper Market in India. It all started in 1984 when the first unit was setup at Mohiuddinpur, Distt. – Meerut (U.P) for manufacturing Straw Board with 15 Tons Per Day Capacity. In the year 1996 the unit underwent a major change and stopped the production of Paper boards altogether and started manufacturing M.G. Kraft Board, a more Superior Grade of Board to meet the increasing demand of the market. Now the company intends to install another Kraft Paper Plant by using Triple Wire Technology and also plans to incorporate all the latest equipment to have a cost effective production to produce 140 GSM to 350 GSM Kraft Paper / Liner to meet increasing demand of Kraft Paper / Liner in the Country using 100% Waste Paper as its main Raw Material. The company also envisages to install its own Bio-mass based Captive Power Plant.

The students of Section-B were privileged to get to visit The Paswara Paper Mill where they got to witness the production of Kraft Paper and Paper Boards. While the production facility was truly fascinating, the water treatment practices employed by the plant were a true inspiration. Added to this, is the fact that the scrap paper that they are left with at the end of a cycle is converted back to pulp and used again for making paper. The efficient and responsible usage of resources by the company was a sight to behold.

Being Management students with a very hectic schedule we were unable to really get to know our classmates well but during the course of our journey to Meerut we made firm friends with new mates and bonded even more with old ones. The joy of playing silly games and mindlessly chattering away like magipies was a refreshing change from the stress of project deadlines.

We would like to thank The BIMTECH Family for providing us this opportunity and look forward even more visits in the near future.
