SHORT-TERM PROJECTS: A short term project is a systematic study of real issue or a problem in a division or a retail organization. It provides a source of practical managerial insights, validation of retail concepts and valuable market knowledge. It is a one credit course. The project provides an opportunity to apply the tools, techniques, skills and concepts which a student may have already learnt.
ON THE JOB TRAINING : The objective of OJT is to enhance student industry interaction so that students can acquire first hand experience of a Retail Store which will bridge the gap between academic learning and field learning. This will also help students to gain knowledge and experience on the functioning of a Retail Store in real time. It is a three credit course, where the training of students is initiated through tie ups between Institute/Programme and various retail organizations.
FROOSH: FROOSH runs with an objective to create a self-sustaining organisation which will also act as a lab for the students of Retail Management at BIMTECH to experiment their learning’s and have hands on experience. The venture also gives team real time experience in buying, operations, sales, etc. acting as an excellent platform for learning. Students participate in the running of Froosh on voluntary basis.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT: Visits to various industries are arranged to enable the students have first-hand knowledge of the procedures and formalities in the industries. An integral part of PGDM (RM) is the industry interactions and experts visits that are regularly organized throughout the course duration.
