Process of development can be speeded up with minimum possible hurdles through collective efforts of all segments of the concerned society. It is equally important to initiate appropriate policy measures to create the necessary environment for development so as to get maximum possible co-operation. However, in a democratic society often process of development gets unduly delayed as policy measures have to wait for an appropriate time and atmosphere mainly because of communication gap between the policy initiators and the beneficiaries with regard to impact of the concerned step. Therefore, it is crucial to bridge this communication gap so as to facilitate speedy development for the benefit of all through consensual approach. India Centre for Public Policy is initiated with the objective to fill this gap and build the capacity to help decision making and execution so that consensual policy approaches may be initiated with active involvement of all.
