Alignment with BIMTECH’s Sustainability Values
Fostering Circular Economy Thinking for Sustainable Business Futures Empowering students, faculty, and industry leaders through knowledge, collaboration, and real-world innovation in sustainability and circular practices, under Knowledge Development for Circular Economy Transition (KODECET) – creating a digital centre of excellence in universities in Asian emerging markets (India and Thailand).
Overview of the DIGI-SUSTEACH Centre
The DIGI-SUSTEACH Centre at BIMTECH is a dedicated platform established under the KODECET project, designed to advance knowledge, innovation, and hands-on learning in the field of sustainability and circular economy. The Centre acts as a bridge between academic research and industry practice — fostering skills that empower future business leaders to integrate circular thinking and responsible innovation into real-world business solutions.
Vision
To position BIMTECH as a leading academic institution that shapes responsible, sustainability-focused business leaders by embedding circular economy concepts across teaching, research, and community engagement. The Centre envisions becoming a catalyst for change, encouraging industries and societies to adopt circular practices for a more resilient and regenerative future.
Mission
To inspire, educate, and empower students, faculty, and industry partners to embrace circular economy principles — driving sustainable business practices, innovation, and entrepreneurship through research, training, and collaboration.
Objectives
- Promote interdisciplinary learning by embedding circular economy principles into business education.
- Facilitate collaboration between academia, industry, and NGOs for joint research and sustainable solutions.
- Create a platform for students and professionals to engage in real-world projects, case studies, and workshops on circular economy.
- Encourage innovation in sustainable product design, resource optimization, and waste reduction.
- Contribute to thought leadership in sustainability through seminars, publications, and partnerships.
