Chairperson's Message

At the Centre for Research Studies at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), our Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) and Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM) embody BIMTECH’s mission of being the preferred choice for learners, faculty, and organizations seeking excellence in management education. These programmes are designed to build strong theoretical and methodological foundations while fostering the ability to generate impactful insights that address pressing organizational, societal, and global challenges.

Guided by BIMTECH’s mission to create and disseminate knowledge for positive societal impact, FPM and EFPM provide a vibrant platform for diverse learners. The FPM prepares young researchers to emerge as innovative thinkers and future faculty, while the EFPM enables experienced professionals to enrich their practice with research-driven perspectives and contribute as thought leaders in their domains.

About the Program

BIMTECH Students

FPM

  • Approved by AICTE (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) and recognized by AIU as equivalent to a PhD.
  • Designed for full-time research scholars.
  • Scholarships for four years: Rs. 50,000 (for 1st and 2nd years), Rs. 55,000 (3rd and 4th years).
  • Prepares scholars for careers in academia and industry.
  • Scholars can choose from 8 specializations being offered.
  • Full tuition fee waiver provided for all eligible research scholars.

EFPM

  • Approved by AICTE (Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India) and recognized by AIU as equivalent to a PhD.
  • Tailored for working executives with research-driven career aspirations.
  • Module-wise classes for working professionals.
  • Coursework designed to build on the executives’ professional experience and academic foundation.
  • Enhances research and consulting competencies relevant to real-world business contexts.
  • Tuition Fee: ₹80,000 per annum (for Indian scholars).

Recognition and Accreditation

  • AICTE-approved doctoral-level program recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to a PhD degree awarded by an Indian university.

Scholarships and Fee waivers

  • Scholarships for four years: Rs. 50,000 (for 1st and 2nd years), Rs. 55,000 (3rd and 4th years).
  • Enhanced scholarship for candidates with CAT score of 90 percentile and above or a valid UGC - NET JRF certificate: Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month.
  • Tuition fee waiver for full-time FPM scholars.

  • The BIMTECH Library offers a comprehensive collection of academic resources to support research and learning. It houses 84,410 books, 152 print periodicals (129 national and 23 international), 14 newspapers, and 95 theses.
  • The digital collection includes 17 online databases, 8,862 full-text online journals & more than 20,000 e-books.
  • The library also provides access to a wide range of e-resources such as Harvard Business School Publishing (Standard Site License), The Case Centre, Scopus, ACE Equity, CMIE Industry Outlook, Indiastat, Emerald eJournal Collection, Passport GMID (Euromonitor), EBSCOhost, ProQuest, Turnitin with AI detector, DELNET, National Digital Library, Atlas.ti, TickerPlant, NPTEL, and Shodhganga.
  • FPM scholars at BIMTECH have the opportunity to assist faculty members in teaching and research activities, helping them build strong academic and research competencies.
  • The EFPM programme is designed with flexibility in mind, offering weekend classes to accommodate the professional commitments of working executives.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate for FPM/EFPM should have:

  • A master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade point average recognized by AICTE / AIU with a Bachelor’s degree (3 years) / equivalent qualification after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2).
  • Five-year integrated Master’s Degree Programme in any discipline with at least 60% marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
  • Qualified CA / CS / ICWA with minimum 50% marks along with a B.Com Degree.
  • In addition to the academic qualification, candidates applying for EFPM need to have a minimum of 5 years of managerial/executive/teaching experience.
  • The maximum age limit is 45 years for FPM candidates as on the date of the application.
