Brief Report on PROPEL, 2017

Reunion of Retail Alumni-Batches-2007, 2008 & 2009

The Propel, 2017 (Retail Batch Reunion) was held at BIMTECH, Greater Noida on 2nd September, 2017.’ Propel’ is a special event that is organized at BIMTECH annually by all the four academic centres. This year too, centre for Retail organized Propel, 2017 to felicitate the batch of 2007 that completed its 10th year of graduating from BIMTECH. Batch of 2008 and 2009 were also invited to this special event.

It was a great platform for our alumni to interact not only with faculty and staff but also with current students of the retail batch. A total of 35 Alumni along with spouse and children attended the function. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. H Chaturvedi, Director BIMTECH which was followed by short address by Dr. Pooja Mishra , Chairperson Centre for Retail, Dr. Pankaj Priya Area Head-Marketing & Retail and by Dr. Gagan Katiyar , Head -Alumni Cell BIMTECH. This was followed by the musical performance by the current year retail students.

A few Retail alumni were also invited to share their past memories which made the event more nostalgic, lively and interactive. Dr. Chaturvedi in his address also shared a few moments /instances of the past and recalled a few alumni names in a lighter mood A short video which was created by current students capturing photographs from the repository was also filed during the event.

The event concluded by felicitation of the alumni by the senior faculty of BIMTECH which was followed by networking dinner. A formal vote of thanks was given by Prof. Arindam Deb which was followed by group photo shoot that captured the participation of this historic event.
