Lifetime Achievement Award conferred in person to Mr. Nasir A Chaudhary at Dhaka, Bangladesh

Due to outbreak of covid in 2020 the 4th BIMTECH Insurance colloquium held in year 2020 was held virtually and BIMTECH had given Mr. Nasir A Chaudhary, a widely respected business veteran who pioneered the growth of the private insurance industry of Bangladesh the prestigious LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD on 23rd October, 2020.

On May, 7th, 2023 the Prof (Dr.) Abhijit Chattoraj, Chairperson, Insurance Business Management (IBM) Programme, BIMTECH conferred the award to Mr. Nasir A. Chaudhary in person in presence of BIMTECH IBM faculty, senior executives of Green Delta Insurance Company and international delegates in Dhaka, Bangladesh a day prior to an international conference organised by BIMTECH and Green Delta Insurance Company, the leading private non-life insurer of Bangladesh.

Green Delta Insurance Co. Ltd(GDIC). was established by Mr. Nasir A. Chaudhary. He has dedicated 54 years of his life to the insurance industry in Bangladesh, setting up GDIC to leading it where it is now the country’s top private non-life insurer. His organisation in Bangladesh was driven by innovation and a customer-centric strategy. According to A.R. Bhuiya, a former director of Bangladesh’s Sadharan Bima Corporation, “His contribution cannot be quantified or adequately expressed in words.” The Managing Director & CEO of Green Delta Insurance Bangladesh, Ms. Farzana Chowdhury, descrying him says “His renowned charm and dedication to his country propelled him always.” In referencing Mr. Nasir’s remarks and life philosophy, Syed Ishtiaque Reza, Senior Journalist and former News Editor with RTV News, adds his words, “I never complain; my focus is always on solving the problem rather than fixing the blame.”

For his remarkable work in the insurance industry, Mr. Nasir A. Chaudhary was recognised with numerous national and international accolades, including inclusion in the 2007 edition of the International Who’s Who of Professionals directory. BIMTECH annually honours distinguished members of the industry with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their great contributions to the field of insurance. Despite his many accomplishments, he is a modest man who constantly wants to see others thrive. His life story serves as motivation for future young aspiring insurance entrepreneurs.
