Associate Professor
Dr. Ruchi Arora holds a Ph.D. in Finance, along with an M.Com and B.Com (Hons.) from Delhi University, and is a UGC NET-qualified professional. Specializing in Security Analysis & Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, Equity Derivatives, Financial Planning & Wealth Management, Financial Modelling, and Behavioral Finance, she is also a certified trainer in Financial Planning and Microsoft Excel.
With 17 years of experience in academia, she has dedicated her career to teaching and mentoring students. Currently serving as a Finance Faculty and Area Chair (Finance) at Birla Institute of Management, she has also cleared prestigious professional certifications on Derivatives, Mutual Funds, and Equity Market through NISM. Her passion for teaching has led her to conduct training programs at renowned institutions, including SRCC, AJNIFM, IMT-Ghaziabad, NDIM, BSE, and others.
Beyond academia, Dr. Arora is a financial consultant, advising corporate clients on financial planning. She has authored multiple research papers in reputed journals, focusing on investment and behavioral finance, and has contributed to funded research projects for NCDEX and MCX on derivatives markets. Additionally, she has written a book titled “Corporate Finance with Financial Modelling” (published by Taxmann) and presented papers at national and international conferences (including IIT-Bombay, IIM-Ahmedabad, IIM-Jammu, Delhi University, and Amity University).
She has also conducted Management Development Programs (MDPs) and Executive Development Programs (EDPs) for corporates like ONGC and GAIL on financial wellness. Additionally, she collaborates with the EdTech platform Finance Rishikul, providing consultancy services to enhance financial education. Her ultimate goal is to add value by empowering students and professionals with advanced skills and knowledge.
Driven by the philosophy that “helping others is helping oneself”, she believes in creating a meaningful impact through her work. Her mantra—“Small things make a big difference”—reflects her commitment to service.
