Havard & Ivey Cases Are Part Of The Pedagogy

Business Vertical Specialization is the second specialization and is aimed to prepare a student thoroughly for a particular domain and provide holistic understanding of the chosen domain. These courses in these vertical cut across various functional specialisation. Students are exposed to the latest technology adopted by the chosen business vertical.

These verticals are selected after complete research on placement trends and series of discussion with industry leaders.

Students from any functional specialisations can choose any Business Vertical. However to ensure success it is important that students which appropriate skill sets choose some of the verticals . This will also ensure smooth career ahead.

Analytics vertical will be offered purely based on merit . Knowledge of Python and Statistics is must and therefore students will be tested on these parameters to draw merit list.

These are advanced courses from different functional areas which will be offered in Term V and VI. It is entirely the choice of the students to choose or not to choose these courses. Student can select one course in Term V and two courses in VI. It is recommended though not compulsory for students to opt for these courses. However if they opt then it will be a credit course like any other course.

Live Project And Summer Internship Project

Students are encouraged to under Live Projects / Short Term Projects from Term III and work on the real-life business problems

Students will compulsorily do a summer internship project with a company for a period of 10 to 12 weeks at the end of TRIMESTER III . There will be an industry guide who will monitor and guide the progress of the student . In addition to this the student will also choose one faculty mentor who will guide the student on regular basis.

The faculty guide and industry guide will also be in touch with each other for better coordination and effective mentoring.

Students usually present the internship report before the senior management of the companies. This provides an opportunity for the students to get more insights and feedback on the work done. This rigorous work done during the summer internship may lead to Pre Placement Offers / Pre Placement Interviews also.

Once the students come back they have to appear for viva before a panel of experts. They have to present and defend the work that they have done in the company

Summer Internship provides an opportunity for the students to apply the concepts and understand the business practice.
